I wanted to ask a few questions about colour and my interest and use of it within my own practice
Question: Do you think bright colours are not the best to work with? I'd like to be more expressive with colour but I have my reservations about it sometimes as I don't feel like it will be received well, what would be your approach?
Answer: No, I think bright colours can be great, possibly in the outcome maybe it would be good to look at saturation of the colour, however absolutely explore colour as much as you like.
Question: I'm always unsure whether a colour is appropriate and whether it's just appealing to me or other people will like it? what would be the best way to tackle this?
Answer: The best way around that is to get as much feedback as you can and see which is the most well received, feedback is really important to development, its best to take feedback whenever you can.
It was really insightful to talk to a leeds based company, that works specifically with branding in Leeds. The aspect of colour that was talked about particularly was interesting as within my own practice I am wanting to be more expressive with colour in design.
