Something that really stood out for me was the atmosphere, there was a really friendly and warm vibe to the studio, I think to capture that is really interesting and lovely to see, its very inspirational when it comes to thinking of what you want your brand to be and how you want to be seen and its definitely something I've taken into consideration within my own working practice.
I loved that the was filled with lovely trinkets, books and a variety of different seating you could even see some bits of of work that they had made in the past which was a nice touch and gave a personal feel to the space, I also appreciated liked how there was both a working environment and a relaxed environment in the same space which really gave you an idea of the work they do and made you feel like you understood the work more.
The talk that was given was a great insight into the journey that had got them to this point, there was a lot of honesty in the fact they both didn't really know what they wanted to do creatively and if they were doing the right thing, I really related to this and it gave me a comfort in knowing that I didn't know what I had to know exactly what I wanted to do right away and there was time to grow as a creator. They even mentioned how they didn't really start their projects until after uni, which was surprising as looking at what they have you'd assume they knew what they wanted to do all along.
I think with a lot of talks from professionals, there seems to be this illusion of perfection, what was so refreshing about this visit is that there was a lot of honesty in how they had created what they did, even going into detail about some of their first projects and how hard they had to work and how little budget they had and really giving the message that if you want to make something you can no matter what limitations you have which ever since this talk I've really taken this into account. I loved really this visit, it gave me the inspiration I needed at the perfect time.
