Ladybeard - The unapologetic mag tackling sexual taboos

Ladybeard is a print only magazine that originated from the questioning of the love/hate relationship between women and glossy magazines and the , some still stuck in the 1950s with silly titles such as “how to please your man.” but instead of just being annoyed at this it gave them the inspiration to create something different. The name of this mag is strange and playful and one that I love, it quickly  establishes the tone of voice and I think it gives a powerful statement about femininity.

Whats so interesting and different about Kadybeard is its attempt to release the constraints that modern media provides and the self hatred that we're often forced to feel, the content contained is talked about openly and freely providing a contrasting commentary to whats usually seen and the 'taboos' that are there. Themes and issues well highlighted as well as the different voices that we don't hear such as lgbt, trans and non binary individuals.
