Save it for the bedroom
This was a zine making event set in Hyde Park Book Club.
The space of the event was dimly lit with some fairy lights and a light box. This gave the environment an intimate feel which was relevant to the title of the event itself.
The venue itself is small and cosy, which was great as conversations between others was inevitable and sharing work, it was a great way to talk to new people. The space itself as a venue is really good for networking, its small space provides a lot of opportunities, the location is in the heart of hyde park, meaning a lot of young creatives are often the target audience meaning there's an opportunity to advertise the event to a specific audience.

Other work on display
When coming to create my own individual zine I didn't have a goal in mind, and I think that worked to my advantage in these different pages (seen below)
What I learnt most from this experience was the idea of abandoning fear and going purely with instincts in terms of visuals and just seeing what happens. Thinking in the moment and less about the outcome. I found this experience really rewarding. It proved that creating something doesn't always have to be thoroughly planned and spontaneity is a valid method when creating something that can be forgotten when thinking in terms of creating for study. It was relaxing and for once I didn't really care if people were looking at my work and judging it. Doing more of this in the future could be a really good for my growth as a creative.
