Ewan Spencer - Young Love - an Exhibition

In 2000 Graham Routhwaite commissioned Ewan Spencer to create a series focusing on youth clubs from around the UK  for'The Face' magazine. 

The images themselves provide an honest and up-close look at young people. The photos are relatable and show a vulnerability to being young.

Space itself was appropriate to this exhibition, the small size and the large size of the images made the photo seem more immersive and connect with the up-close nature of the photos. The images seem 'idyllic' in how they are shot, all the images are different and are very brightly lit in a dark environment, highlighting the different people in the photos, and highlighting the tone and feeling of the image.
